Classic car restorations

My leisure time is mainly devoted to my two classic cars. Although I have been tinkering with cars most of my life, the activity got a significant boost in -94 when I aquired my -54 MG TF . The body was sound, but mechanically it was very worn down. So it was immediately decided to strip the car down completely and after two years of restoration it now is a very reliable and lovely car to drive. If you want further information about the restoration you will find it here.

Having finished the MG project reasonably successfully there was no reason to sit idly. While living in Newcastle, Australia, for a year I started to look around for another project and ended up with the -54 Jaguar Mk VII. . (1954 proved to be my lucky number). This time I wanted a total restoration project and as usual you get more trouble than you pay for. The car was shipped home and what had appeared to be slightly affected by rust proved to be seriously attcked by Australian tin worm! The strip-down started after Xmas -97 and was finished in May -02. You may find more details about this restoration project here.
