Laboratory facilities at the Experimental Fluid Dynamics research group:

The Dept. of Applied Mechanics, Thermo- and Fluid Dynamics has a large variety of experimental facilities available. Among these are:

  • 100 mm fully developed pipe flow up to Re=150.000

  • 200 mm fully developed pipe flow up to Re=400.000

 

  • Test rig for axial Fan/Ventilator

  • Smoke tunnel


    (0.2m x 0.3m testsection)

  • Student demonstration tunnel
    (0.45m x 0.45m x 1.4m testsection)

  • 2 boundary layer tunnels
    (0.7m x 0.7m x 4m and
    1.4m x 0.3m x 5.6m testsections)

  • Large scale Offshore tunnel


    (1.8m x 2.7m x 11m testsection

 
  • Compression tube tunnel
    (0.06m x 0.06m testsection for Machnumbers 0.3 to 3.0)

  • Student demonstration tunnel
    (0.02m x 0.05m testsection)
